An Evening With Gatsby  7pm – Travel back in time to the days of Daisy Buchanan and Jay Gatsby learning about the real families and homes that inspired F. Scott Fitzgerald. A talk by North Shore historian and author Paul J. Mateyunas about the history of the Gold Coast and the grand old estate houses.  Mr. Mateyunas will autograph copies of his books North Shore Long Island: Country Houses, 1890-1950 and Long Island’s Gold Coast. Long Island’s Gold Coast will be available for purchase.
Admission: $5 – Free for members and students with valid ID

Wildlife in Need of Rescue 7pm – Representatives of WINORR, Wildlife in Need of Rescue & Rehabilitation, will be exhibiting raptor birds at the Seaford Historical Museum. Featuring a bald eagle, falcon, red-tailed hawk, eagle-owl and barn owl, the presentation will describe the importance of these birds within Long Island’s ecosystem, followed by a Q&A session. Be sure to bring your camera! Refreshments will be served.
