Wildlife in Need of Rescue

On Thursday April 6th, representatives from WINORR, Wildlife in Need of Rescue & Rehabilitation, gave a presentation on Long Island’s birds of prey at the museum. Attendees learned about the importance of these birds within Long Island’s ecosystem and how WINORR works to preserve their local population. Some of the birds exhibited included a Peregrine Falcon, a Red-Tailed Hawk, a Barn Owl, and an Eagle-Owl.
